Here is the latest Garage Build from MotorWorld Stockholm, Sweden
I started up with a brand new KX450 for the SR Garage Build. I began to disassemble the Airbox to install the Twin Air kit. It’s quite a hassle and takes some time to get it done but is real nice update when it’s in place. I have a full Exhaust System from LM Exhaust from Italy, it’s a stainless steel system with a titanium can and a carbon end cover. The build quality and fitment is really nice. I have not tested how it runs yet but the engine revs more freely than it does with a stock exhaust but it’s still quiet to meet the new regulations.

I have the cool Boyesen Factory Racing clutch cover, that really catches the eye on most that sees the bike the go ”Factory Racing” I have their Supercooler water pump as well, but you have to dismantle the exhaust system, cooler tubes and more to get into place so I’ll change that after my pre season trip to Italy.

I always wanted to try the Ride Engineering triple clamps that looks the part on the bikes in USA. So I have mounted their 22 mm triple with their cool bar mount that doesn’t twitch as the original mounts. I know a lot of people think that the new KX450 is a bit nervous, but as I’m racing Supermoto with bikes that have about 100 mm shorter wheel base with rake and shorter 16 mm offset I’m used to fast steering bikes and I prefer quick response. If the bike is nervous it usually can be solved with good suspension setup. I’ll visit Andreani in Pesaro if I have time.

I opted to change most of he bolts to Pro Bolt titanium and aluminium bolts, the panel bolts are aluminium and bolts in the chassis are in titanium all in supernice gold. It’s nice that they supply mounting paste to the bolts to prevent seizing.

Gearing is Renthal twinring sprocket 51 tooth with an o-ring chain from Moto-Master and of course titanium bolts from Pro Bolt. Plastic comes from Cycra USA with graphics and design from Effetti Racing Roma, Italy. Case guard, disc protector and frame protection are from Acerbis. Titanium foot pegs are from Tweety I’ll mount a Gripper seat soon. I’m waiting to get unbreakable brake and clutch levers from Flo Motorsports before the pre season training in Italy during easter. Regarding oil and lubricants I use Midland Oil that by my opinion has the best products on the market for racing to have my engines running without failures.
